PROBLEM UPDATE: Shibboleth login to ScienceDirect

Shibboleth login access to ScienceDirect is still not working correctly.

If you are encountering problems with access  try the following:

  1. Working off campus, configure your web browser to use the University’s central proxy server (details on how to do this are available at, or
  2. Go to
    1. Then go to ‘search’ before logging in rather than logging in from the home page.

We have been informed that the vendor is working on the problem.
