Access across Old Heating Station closed

Due to ongoing works in connection with the demolition of the Queen Mother Library, the path over the heating station will be closed between Academic Square and the QML car park – from 7.30am Monday 30th January until 5pm on Wednesday 1st February 2012. Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

PROBLEM UPDATE: Shibboleth login to ScienceDirect

Shibboleth login access to ScienceDirect is still not working correctly.

If you are encountering problems with access  try the following:

1. Working off campus, configure your web browser to use the University’s central proxy server (details on how to do this are available at http://www.abdn.ac.uk/proxy/), or
2. Go to http://www.sciencedirect.com
   1. Then go to ‘search’ before logging in rather than logging in from the home page.

We have been informed that the vendor is working on the problem.

HeinOnline launches new app

HeinOnline, an important legal research database, has launched an app for the iPhone and iPad.

Use the app to search the database (including by citation), view and download PDF files, browse by volume, and navigate through a volume using the table of contents. HeinOnline account/authentication is required.
